Windy crossing from St Pierre to Roseau, Dominica. 20 – 25kn, so we sailed with 3 reefs and small jib; conservative, but probably a wise call as when we got behind Dominica the wind increased up to 35kn.
Moored at Aldive for the night; cleared in at customs (annoyingly, although we were leaving Dominica within 48 hours, when going North and leaving from a different post you have to go again to customs to clear out)
It was fairly rolly in Roseau – going ashore and leaving the dinghy on the dock meant using a stern line to prevent it surging against the dock. After a meal at the restaurant on shore (only customers!) we prepared for the next morning’s trip to Portsmouth
