Sadly Nick left us last Friday, and Shane and I spent another few damp days in Fowey waiting for the wind to die down so we could make the dash to Falmouth before the next set of heavy winds arrived.  Fowey’s a beautiful little place, and despite the rain, we did at least enjoy wandering around, fixing bits on the boat, and stuffing ourselves with lobster and steak at the renowned “Sam’s” !

We arrived in wet and gusty Falmouth yesterday, 20th July – (our last UK port before departure across Biscay!) - after an uneventful crossing, motoring into a slight headwind.  Can’t wait to hoist the sails again!!

We are pleasantly surprised at Falmouth – not the prettiest of towns, but it has all the facilities / shops we need for preparing for Biscay, and all very helpful as we get the last of our electrics sorted out.

So now we wait for the right weather window, and the arrival of our good friend Jonathan, who is joining us for the Biscay crossing.  It may be a long wait …….
