Title: Atlantic Crossing - Day 21

13:36.293N 55:35.000W

Shane woke me up at 4am – you have to see this, he said.  Drowsy and dopey, I asked what was so important?  Another squall on the horizon?  (We’ve been doing a lot of squall dodging the last few nights)  No, he said, excitedly, its dolphins.  Dolphins! I said.  Surely sleep, the little we get, is more important than our dancing friends at this stage?  Anyway, its pitch black, cloudy, not a starry night, how can you see them?  Look look, he said.  And there, like all the stars had dropped out of the sky into dancing shapes, were 6 or 8 phosphorescent, glowing dolphins, like iridescent torpedoes, darting through the water at the bows.  It was magical.

The wind is with us still, not as much as we’d like, but we’re so not complaining!  We’ve been on a broad reach and goosewinging for almost 3 days now, and if we keep this up, we may arrive in Barbados late on 23rd /early 24th ….  Thinking of you all at home having what may be a White Christmas?
