Yesterday we had a very lumpy 5 hour motorsail from Las Galletas, Tenerife, to San Sebastian, La Gomera, a lovely place. The wind acceleration zones around these islands are extraordinary!  Conditions went from a flat calm (as forecast) and 4 knots of wind up to 33 knots on the nose, within seconds, with very angry seas!  To our joy we were joined by the pilot whales again, one of which came up to our bows a little too close for comfort, requiring a quick deceleration to avoid a collision.

We are setting off across the Atlantic this Wednesday 2nd December.  Ali, Shane and “Talulah”.  The crossing should take around 3 weeks all going well, and we are heading for Barbados.  Hopefully for Christmas!
