We’ve arrived. After all the light winds and contrary winds the forecast was for the winds veering north and filling in. We sailed close hauled and then increasing with the wind on the beam. We continually reduced sail as AP sped up to close to 8 Kn and we wanted to arrive at first light, not when it was pitch black.

We’re now anchored in a slightly blustery harbour with the anchor set at 07.12.

23 days, Tortola to Horta with 2,759 miles under the keel

Now for breakfast, customs etc and to see if there is space in the Marina. Looks crowded. Too early for a celebratory whisky
