The weather forecast shows light trade winds becoming a big windless hole. At midday we changed from poled out headsails to a broad reach running WSW to try to skirt the dead area and to get more apparent wind and boat speed. Maybe working.
We’ve pulled up a few miles on competitor boats, although it’s not really a race. We are one of the smaller boats. Getting close to 1000 miles to go - 9 days or 15 days. Which will it be?
