Awoke to the sound of workmen and heavy machinery! Found to our surprise that they were going to start mixing cement and begin to resurface the whole of the area alongside our boat.We decided to check out if there was any room on the other side of the marina where we could go alongside, as  luck would have it a French boat was making an early start for Greece and was just leaving a mooring which was ideal for us, we quickly got the engines running and moved in as they departed.Another boat also had the same idea but we just beat them to it!!
As we were up early decided to get the bikes and check out the garages.Met up with another couple on a catamaran who needed to know where the nearest supermarket was. After giving them information we decided to meet up later at the pizza restaurant for a drink and chat to exchange sailing stories.

Managed to fill 4 fuel cans at a more reasonable rate of 1.42 a litre at a garage around 3kms away from the marina and  then had a hot cycle back. We were later informed that the fuel truck that comes to the marina will not fill a boat with less than 200 litres of fuell and the cost is 1.60 a litre for diesel!

As the beaches around here are quite lovely decided to take a picnic to the beach and spend the afternoon swimming and reading.Really lovely!

No one around for miles! Swimming is a bit limited due to quite an undertow.

Later that night had drinks with Bodo, Angelica and Lulu.

Had quite a few pleasant evenings in the company of our German friends during our stay in Rochella Ionica.
