Well we have had a good time overwintering here in Cartagena, made some good friends and got to know the place very well. Now it is time to flap or sails and start to prepare to head out. This winter has apparently been the coldest for 12 years, it seems to be our luck.We have been kept busy with the erection of our new wind generator and the making of cushions for our cockpit.Lilly has behaved and has not gone AWAL for sometime she is obviously getting old or just lazy.
We have had a great deal of time to catch up with our old pal Gill and have had some humerous moments, we  actually did a Spanish boot sale together, the first we have ever done!
The marina is really secure and very reasonable and worth recommending, staff are extremly helpful, we will be sad to leave. We have bought a third aanchor as we have decided to anchor in tandem to help prevent dragging. The highlight of this year so far has been the commissioning of Samantha,it was a very proud moment for all of us.
Now it is just a matter of waiting for a weather window and we will start to head on up the coast and then cross over to the Balerics.
