Well once through the canal we motored on down to Ormos Vlikho a large well sheltered anchorage where it seems quite a few boats are left at anchor over the winter!!
We haven't seen so many boats in one area for quite some time.Holding is  deemed very good here so we anchored just off the shore a short dinghy ride from the town of Nidri. We have heard that there is a good steel workshop here so we will investigate tomorrow.

17th September

We have discovered a very large Dutch and English community here and it is a sailors haven with all the chandlery shops dotted everywhere.A nice Greek chap who spoke really good English told us that we could find Phil the steel worker on the edge of town. After a little bit of a dusty walk we managed to locate the workshop and everything looks promising as Phil seemed to think that it would not be too difficult a job but we need to bring the bow roller to him ,so Mark knows what he will be doing for the next few days!!!

Had a good look around the town to find lots of internet cafes and 'hotspots' so will be able to catch up with Blogg.Marks Birthday tomorrow so trying to find a nice local restaurant not too far from the boat.Found a really charming one across the bay from us where we had a cool drink and enjoyed the scenery.Hanging above us were all these vines and the owner informed us that he makes his own wine.September is getting ready for the harvesting of the grapes.
