7th - 12th April.
Arrived in Gib to find that' Wandering Dragon' who
we had met in Cascais was berthed a couple of boats along from us.We had a
gathering on Rafiki to exchange sailing experiences.Touché arrived later that
night and joined us up on deck.It was really nice to meet up with 'old
friends'.The sailing world is really quite small!
The weather the next day was what one can only
consider as to be very English, showers, showers followed by yet more
showers.The temperature here is somewhat colder than the Canaries and so it is
back to wrapping up again! We have not changed our minds regarding our views of
Gib.It really is quite disappointing,duty free is a bit of a laugh!We will stay
until weather improves and we get a few repairs that need doing on the boat are
completed then we will be heading up towards Malaga.Our time is spent crossing
the border into La Linea Spain where supplies are much cheaper.Met up with
family again so that has been very nice and is the main reason for coming to Gib
again.
Berthed alongside the runway things are never
boring as we watch flights attempt to take off in quite strong winds then decide
against it!
