Well Mark is now getting down to brass tacks and has more or less fitted the watermaker, which was a bit of a nightmare due to all the American small parts and the difference in European dimensions and sizes.
Went off to the UK with Samantha and I thankfully successfully completed my LRC radio License.
Mark putting in Radio whilst I am in the UK.
Mark has now found that we have a problem with our radar so will need to be in touch with Raymarine!

May

Lots of little jobs now, waterproofing canvas,, varnishing decks servicing winches and gypsy and making hatch covers to protect glass from intense Summer heat.
Weather remains quite windy we sometimes have gusts up to 30 odd knots.
Will be lifted out at the end of the month for renewal of Anodes and antifouling, also we need a through hull fitting for both HF radio and watermaker.

25th May
Hauled out at last, anodes look quite good since Marl installed the Galvanic isolator, starboard side did not look as if it needed doing but renewed it any way as we had been lifted!!
Guys in yard damaged hull with too vigorous cleaning of barnacles!!!
They will sort it as only superficial but we will probably not use this yard again as they are not getting on with the jobs and we are being put back in line whilst they attend to Spanish boats!!
We are not allowed to do any of the work on Rafiki so we are very dependant on them getting on with the jobs in hand and also they charge to put on antifoul that we provide!!!

30th May
At last back in the water and will anchor out to try out the watermaker etc.
