This seems to be our theme tune! After waiting out the weekend in the bay until the fuel pump attendant arrived. The weather took a turn for the worst and going from having no wind or relatively little we are now forecasted with F 7-8-9 winds and sea state is extremely rough with wave heights in excess of 3m.Decided to move into the marina for protection as the winds are now veering in a southerly direction and local fishermen and harbour master advised us also against staying in the bay.Decided to have a local meal of fresh fish in one of the restaurants on the quay. The marina itself has very few facilities apart from shelter. No electrics or water at the pontoon .Showering facilities are very minimal with one faucet with cold water!Refreshing though!.We have had to start rationing water as we only have a quarter of a tank left.We are though able to fill up bottles from a hose that leads from the harbour masters office. So there is a daily exodus to the hose. The harbour master is extremely helpful and very laid back which is more than can be said for the marina patrol boat who just look on in indifference when sailors are having trouble mooring up etc.So much for the so called caring nature that conservationists are supposed to have. Will have to wait it out here until the 20th and hopefully arrive in Tenerife sometime on the 21st.Samantha again is getting jittery as she would like to spend her Birthday on dry land, the 22nd!Our other daughters arrive on the 19th but family have kindly arranged to pick them up and look after them until we arrive.Only problem is our cat,Lily, who will certainly wonder what is happening to her usually peaceful lifestyle as she will be introduced to the resident rotweiller, who happens to be a gentle giant contrary to the reputation this breed has acquired. Then when we eventually arrive she will be brought to the boat and a permanent life at sea! The next couple of days will be spent cleaning the boat as much as possible as it is too windswept to venture outside for very long.
