Lilly settling into her life aboard!

Lilly's turn to keep watch!

Lilly has adapted, as the vet had assured us, very well to life on board Rafiki.Once the girls had departed for the UK it was nice to have the cat for company. She is not sure at the moment of what to make of the pontoon and just warily observes it ,not at the present time daring to venture onto it!!

Decided to stay on for the Carnival as it is reputed to be the 2nd best in the world after Rio!! This gave us time to catch up with family and to have rigging on boat checked before leaving for Gran Canaria.Chris's mum was on a cruise which set off and returned from Santa Cruz. The liner was moored within a stones throw from us and Mary was able to see us from the upper decks. She was able to join us for the day until she had to catch her flight in the evening. We had a pleasant day strolling around Santa Cruz, which we have come to know very well.It made a welcome break for us from boat chores. After a discussion regarding the Cruise it transpired that the Liner Mary and Dave were on was the very same that we had taken for the millennium for our trip through the Panama Canal!!

Carnival Queen

Carnival was worth staying for.Constant partying in the streets and everyone from young and old takes part in the spirit of things. We have had a great vantage point from our position in the marina and are entertained with music and pyrotechnics most evenings.
