1st October
Made an early start as weather looking a bit grim.Rick and Barbara also decided to leave with us, funny they are also booked in for the winter at the same marina but they will be flying home to the US in November.

We had quite a good motor sail which was enhanced by the arrival of a school of Dolphins who followed us for quite sometime. The Dolphins just love to play under the hulls and seem to tickle themselves along the bow of the boat.

To reach the marina you have to sail along a channel which is bordered on one side by a Lagoon and salt lakes.Houses on stilts adorn the waterfront and if you did not know that you were in Greece you would think yourself in Asia.

Local fisherman using traditional methods of fishing.

  Greece or Vietnam?

On reaching the marina we were a little taken aback as they were still constructing the main office and it seemed that chaos reigned!!!

  New office under construction.

Once checked in we found the people very friendly and the marina explained that they were newly opened and had not expected so many boats to book in for the winter so were ill prepared, despite this we found the town very pleasing and non touristic, which we like. That evening we were invited over to 'Far Out' for supper and a critical analysis of the place.
