We cant believe we have actually been moored
on the quayside for 1 week, so it really is time to go!!!!
Have had a great time here in Messolonghi and made
some really good friends,If the weather had been a bit better it woud have been
a good place to overwinter,despite the problems at the marina!!
The transition from Marina to quayside is
liberating and it really is nice not to have a little isolation from other
boats.The port police are quite efficient here and regularly patrol the
area.
Sophie and Jim came for a farewell drink and on our
last day invited us to their lovely home for lunch.Jim makes all his own wines
and sundries tomatoes and peppers,they have armed us with so much information on
"how to",create various foodstyles that will come in useful for our
crossing to the Caribbean.
The morning that we were leaving Maria and Costis
arrived with more cakes and sweetmeats for our jouney, we really will miss all
these lovely people!
