Once the girls departed for the Uk we started with
a vengence to get things on board "ship shape".We really had not been able to do
very much due to the dreadful weather that we had experienced here this winter
February was a bit of a washout as it was so cold and dismal,with quite a lot of
rain.
The winter here was made bearable due to the many
friends that we have made especially amongst the local Greek
population.Costis and Maria who run a little coffe shop and make the best
cookies in town have become great friends of ours.We were invited to their
wedding but unfortunetly will not be able to attend as we will not be in Greece
in June.The Wedding sound amazing with over 450 guests and because we can't be
there they took us to see where the event will be held.The venue is lovely set
in private grounds overlooking a ravine to one side and mountains to the
other ,the Greeks party way into the early hours of the morning and the
bride and groom stay the course! We really are sorry that we wont be able
to attend.
March has seen a constant stream of people
returning back to their boats in the hopes of either being lifted back into or
out of the water.We have decided not to be lifted here as the yard is not really
equipt to lift us safetly and we will get a local diver to check our "bottom"
once we are out of the marina in April.
