Anchored just off the ancient city of Nora in Pula Bay,lovely anchorage sand and weed bottom, avoiding NW corner as quite a few rocks and part of the city of Nora that has fallen into the sea and obviously makes for some interesting diving.
Lovely to be in a becalmed anchorage for a change perhaps now we will get a decent nights sleep!! Went off in the dingy to explore the coastline and were invited onto our French /Sweedish neighbours boat for a nightcap and chat. They were interested in coming over to view our boat so arrangements were made for a visit from them the next day.

9th august

Mark took me ashore and I walked into town which was a couple of miles away.Very small town quite expensive but foind a greengrocer and small supermarket so was able to restock with some fresh fruit and veg.
Helena, Claus,Thomas and Myriiam, came over for a glass of Port and a tour of the boat, really quite charming people.

10th August

Went to visist the ancient City of Nora whilst Mark had a beer in the nearby bar!!
Quite fascinating City and amazing to still be able to see the actual drainage and sewage systems that they had built and still evident today.
Went a joined Mark in the restaurant and had a rather nice glass of Campari!!
Thinking of heading across the Bay tomorrow to find an anchorage closer to Cagliari for Samanthas arrival on the 12th.

What bliss!! Did indeed have a a good nights sleep
