Diverted into Isla Graciosa an Island just off the
coast of Lansarote as desperate for fuel.Wind in the wrong direction so needed
to use motors most of the way.The island reminds us of the Scilly Isles as the
local community are trying to retain its identity.Anchored beside the breakwater
of the small marina as darkness was approaching and it was not advisable to
enter after dark due to numerous floating fish cages etc.Found yet another
problem our mooring light not working so left on steaming light as a
precaution.There does not seem to be much traffic about but one can never be too
careful! Waiting until the morning to see if the one fuel pump which is
periodically manned will be operating. If not hopefully it will be Monday.It
seems very much a one man band operation here.Tonight we are on anchor watch but
at least we will all get a reasonable amount of sleep.Had a refreshing dip in
the sea, water crystal clear and it was so pleasant just to relax and enjoy the
surroundings.
