Our Visit UK and return Spain

Whistle stop trip ,met up with some of our old
friends and caught up with things with the girls!
Liaising over the telephone with the Raymarine
technician in Spain, looking a little grim as to our departure from
Spain!!!
Had a lovely Anniversary present from the girls an
evening on the Thames at Henley for the Henley Festival to see Nigel Kennedy
playing.Glorious evening and actually got to meet Nigel Kennedy after the
show,he was a little worse for wear having downed a number of bottles of
Champagne!!
Unfortunately we lost our camera at the event but
the following morning following a call to the administration office we were
informed that someone had actually handed a camera in.so the next morning it was
off to Henley for yet another picnic and to claim our camera.Thank you whoever
you were that handed in our camera as we would have lost all our Graduation
photos etc.Great to think that there are still honest people out
there.
12th -15th July return to
Cartagena.
Bad news re the radar,still not fixed and we are
now told that we cannot get the spare part needed for at least 2 weeks!! Finally
to really put the nail in the coffin ,so to speak ,the Raymarine support unit
based in Valencia had broken our radar casing and had the cheek to return it
saying it was working with no mention of their breakage!!!
Mark was pronto onto the UK based Raymarine team
complaining bitterly re damage plus time length to fix the unit.
Within no time we had a message back that a new pcb
was being dispatched and hopefully that would resolve our problem.The technician
came back the following day and replaced our radar housing and surprise surprise
had the new pcb unit with him.
We are now hoping to leave, weather permitting ,on
Saturday and make our way to Cabrera.From there we will make our way
towards Sardinia and then on to Sicily.
Samantha hopes to join us somewhere in Sicily and
she will continue with us to Syracuse.
