Well had a good sail to Cala Salinas on the south coast of Ibiza, beam reach most of the way.
Rick and Barbara followed us into the bay.Hooked up again to some booked mooring buoys, bay looked pretty beach with day trippers it seems the beach here is very popular with the tourists although there is little development ashore apart from some beach restaurants, lovely sandy beach though. We intend to drop Trinity here for the airport which is a short taxi ride away.
Swam over to 'Far Out Waves"to have a chat water again quite clear and there appears to be a little more sea life here.
Will do a 'reckie' tomorrow to check out the town and the ease of getting a taxi etc.

16th July
Got the bus into Ibiza,Busty took us ashore and remained on the boat until our return.Had a nice afternoon and Trinity was able to catch up with a girl friend who was an ex student at Reading University.
Bus service really good as a bus leaves from the beach area every 30 mins and operates up until 7.30pm.
Decided to meet up at bus station and take the bus back and have a meal somewhere near the beach.Found a rather nice hotel come restaurant which served good food and after explaining that we needed a taxi for Trinity early in the morning they said they would call us a taxi if we popped by in the morning.Very helpful/
We had one of the best paellas that we have had to date!!

That night we had winds 30 knts plus from the south so we were rocking and rolling, did not sleep very much as we were a little concerned that we would not be able to get off 'Rafiki' the next morning as swells quite high and Trinity's  flight leaving quite early.
Decided to wake Trinity at 6.30 and start to get ready as the winds had reduced a little to 15-20 knts.Plan was to make a quick dash to beach where Mark would unload Trinity and myself and return to boat as quickly as he could.
All managed to get into dinghy with luggage etc and bags wrapped in plastic to protect from any freak waves coming into dinghy.Extra towels and water for rinsing our feet was all prepared and also loaded into dinghy.
A hair raising journey to the beach was experienced and there were moments when I really thought that the dinghy was going to be tossed over, thankfully this did not happen and we even nearly managed to stay dry! Just as we were landing onto the beach a breaking wave appeared from nowhere and drenched all of us,a frantic dash for higher ground was made and Mark turned tail and motored back to the boat.
Trinity and I looked like we had been shipwrecked with all our worldly goods scattered around us,shame I did not have the camera!!
Any way we walked down the road to wait outside the hotel until they opened up,Trinity took most of her clothes off to dry in the early morning sun.A little later the morning cook opened the gate and got quite a shock to see Trinity standing there. We went inside for a cup of tea and he brought us some croissants whilst we were waiting for our taxi,as I said this hotel although they call themselves a hostel was very hospitable, will certainly go there for a meal when Samantha comes out.
Trinity did catch her flight and after seeing her off I caught the bus into town to use the internet and wait until the sea had calmed down a bit.
Return trip in dinghy was just as bad despite the fact that sea state was a little more steady.Trinity now realises how difficult it is to keep to a schedule as the

weather, the dominating factor, is very fickle!!

18thJuly

Big beach party gathering on beach with African drums competing with what can only be described as ' disco head banging music' . Will leave here tomorrow as it is a little on the noisy side.In the evening went for a stroll on the beach after most of the party goers had left the beach, thank god the buses don't run all night!

19th July
Just our luck after all that wind the previous  2 nights the wind died right down to 5-10 knts and we had to motor sail to San Antonio. Will stay here a few days whilst Busty sorts himself out.
Lilly has not been too well this last week and we thought she had developed a  touch of arthritis as she was limping on one leg and was 'off' her food, but thankfully today she seems much brighter and her walking has improved.I started to give her cod liver oil in milk and it seems to have done the trick, maybe it could have been the weather as it has been extremely hot with temperatures 34 plus.
