Saturday 27th
preparing for the off towards Porto Pollensa
where we have mooring buoys booked.Heard last night that poor old Michael
Jackson died, Chance will be very disappointed as we bought a surprise birthday
ticket for her as will Trinity and Dan,quite a shame,great
musician.
Monday 29th
Met a nice couple from "Amazing Grace" whose
claim to fame was having the last, "Broadblue ", built or should I say half
built!! Nice Catamaran.They came aboard for drinks and a good gossip,going to go
to the market in Santanyi Wednesday as we have been given another couple of
nights by the boat boy who we last saw in Pollensa,they obviously move around
from area to area.
Wednesday 1st July
Caught bus to Santanyi to visit the market with
John and Julie.Good market with good quality fruit and veg.
Thursday 2nd July
Had a good sail down to Ensanada de la
Rapita,sailed about 30miles, probably one of the best we have yet had,sea state
slight and winds 10-15knts making around 8knts.The bay here in Rapita is again
very clear and we anchored in 3m over sand.Very popular bay and we had a call
from "Jade" to say that they were in Porto Colom having just left the bay that
we were now in!
Sunday 5th July
Have had a couple of nice chill out days exploring
the very small town and getting a few provisions.Lots of boats arrived Saturday
evening to party,so we had quite a rowdy night with screaming girls and boys
until the early hours!!I expect this place gets extremely busy July August
because of its location and the lovely beach that it has.
Moving on today to El Arenal as we will be picking
Trinity up tomorrow, which we are both looking forward to!
Not much wind so we may have to motor sail,still it
might pick up the further out we sail,here's
hoping!!!!
