Well Yanmar came up trumps, the local engineer based in Formentera was able to diagnose the problem and do the job whilst we were at the mooring bouy.Mark had to pick  Peppie, the engineer,up in the dinghy.
The problem  with the engine  was with the seal on the gear box transmission, after several hours the job was completed and we were able to breathe again!! Plan will be to move on tomorrow.Whilst the engineer was aboard Busty and I went for a cycle ride around the island ,which is the best way to see the island. The sceneray is remarkably similar to the Caribbean and the people are quite friendly, could possibly live here if property was not so expensive and the weather not so grim in the winter.Visited the local flea market which is certainly worth a visit and cycled past a windmill that it is claimed Dylan stayed in for a season writing songs.
Lillys birthday today so bought her some prawns for tea.

20TH

Late start as had a little trouble unravelling our mooring lines that had become quite twisted with the heavy swells that we were getting.Eventually left at 14.00hrs and again motored as wind very much on the nose,as per usual.Arrived at around 17.15hrs in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza.
Winds expected this evening of around 15-20knts,so double anchored ,sea bed here very uneven and after the second attempt anchored successfully.Another monohull came in shortly after us a and it took them the best part of a hour before their anchor was bedded.
Will keep an anchor watch tonight, need to move on early tomorrow heading towards Mallorca/
