Wind SSE F3

Another lovely sunny day with steady progress. The wind has been consistently from the SSE which is helpful to us as we are not able to sail dead downwind on the course we would like. We might be able to with the genoa and gib wing on wing but would then have less sail area and go more slowly.
Some lightning in the background last night but otherwise a pleasant overnight sail. Des has given us a position for a bank of cloud with squalls etc but we are not certain of the extent. Hopefully we will pass by overnight and tomorrow but we will need to be vigilant.
Yesterday I lost valiantly to Annie at Scrabble. Considering that she had all the high scoring letters and a seven letter score I thought the final margin of 40 points was pretty good! The highlight of the day was baked beans and toast for lunch.
