At the moment and in the absence of anything approaching a cellphone connection, we are completely reliant upon satellites for communication with the outside world. And yet many of the locals here in Tifu village have a cellphone so presumably can make phone calls. I have a list of questions for when we go ashore later!
This is a short post by way of an update of where we are. I have a backlog of posts (well, two actually) waiting for a data connection as they include photos, each one of which would use more than our total monthly satellite allowance!
As I write the loud drone of inharmonious chainsaws reverberates around our anchorage which may give you a clue to the subject of a forthcoming post.............
