We arrived at the terminal and were quite shocked to see public checking in
– they just seem to get everywhere. Fortunately we had our own check in for
Princess and Queens guests only and went aboard quickly and before going to
cabin, we made a quick tour of some of the facilities on Decks 2 & 3, there
are 14 decks open to us. The QM2 is absolutely stunning – I have never seen such
style and opulence, even in 5 star hotels – really very impressive and look at
the images of our Princess cabin with its balcony and walk in dressing room – if
you do this trip don’t go into steerage with the public, our areas are far nicer
because they are not accessible to the hoi poli, and the gentlemen dress
correctly whilst escorting their ladies to and from the numerous activities,
functions and restaurants.
