Here is a pdf of the advice from Boat US, they are a West Marine partner and we have signed up with them for annual Tow & Breakdown insurance for $150, you get a good bit of this back by showing your Boat US card when purchasing at West Marine. The whole boating industry uses them, even the USCG call them to tow boats in!! You cannot believe how many boats get towed up here, even yachts, I don’t think many Americans know how to fix things, Boat US even carry CPR equipment and we have heard a couple of calls where guys have been having heart attacks
