Just checked out the National Hurricane Center Miami and it looks like Katia is heading away north, straight over Bermuda and may clip Long Island and Nova Scotia. At the moment in Annapolis MD we are just getting rain, been up to 3” overnight with more forecast and flood warning issued across Maryland and up into Washington DC. So this east coast really seems to get rain, like I said never let an American tell you it rains in England. But this morning I washed the deck down which is so easy when they are wet, so Suzie Too will be nice and clean when we leave her to come back to the UK and there is not as much industry where we are lifting out in the Solomon Islands, so she should still sparkle when we get back.

 

But the Hurricane Sisters are definitely out to get us, Katia has missed us, Lee (a boy) died in the Gulf of Mexico and now Maria, not yet a named storm, is building well south of the Cape Verde which means trouble for the Eastern Caribbean.
