When I suggested to Suzanne we try and keep it up all night she was horrified - but I said if we both worked on it together, I was sure it was possible and most other couples would be doing the same.

So we went into the night, wind dropping to 4kts, still flying Big Blue and at dawn we had made good progress, except the smaller and family boats motored through the night got ahead of us - but that's fine - It's not a race.

This morning was my watch as the sun came up - iPod on max volume with David Bowie, Ziggy classics, singing away (well no one could hear) sun coming up on the port beam and whales blowing spouts about 200m off the starboard beam.. am I smiling!! Not sure which whales - but not humpback as no classic V shaped waterspout - someone thinks they are Southern Right Whales - so named cos they were the right ones to kill as they floated when dead then you could kill a few more and collect them later.

Catch you on Monday when we will arrive in Tenerife

Love to all
