Hi All

We had to visit this Beautiful little Island of Sandhamn, as this is supposed to be the Hub of all the sailing events in Sweden and is reported in all the Swedish books to be “Cowes of Sweden”.  We could see no resemblance!!!!

There were alongside pontoons for boats over 14 metres so easy mooring, a hotel with swimming pool, a club house with outside bar, a few little shops situated facing the marina in wooden huts selling sailing clothes, a great mode of transport motorized bike with front trailer, a bakery with wonderful fresh bread and bread that I can eat as they do Rye bread with liquorice and of course sauna’s.

We stayed 2 nights at Sandhamn  as this was our last stop in Sweden before setting off to Finland.
