Lisbon to Cascais
We had a hectic week what with work, driving everywhere,
picking up boat part, seeing family. My mum is doing fine she has had a
new bathroom window and the whole house decorated and is looking forward to a
trip away. So I think she doing fine without my dad which is good help me
not worry about her also my brother Richard and his wife have been wonderful
being so near to her. Helen is doing fine also, she is settled in being a mum, I spent
the weekend with them all and had a lovely time, had lots of cuddles, changed
nappies, pushed the pram, rocked him to sleep. He is a treasure and such
a well behave little boy. Will miss Helen lots again as I am so used to
speaking to her every day. Anyway back to the UK in 4 weeks so not long. On Holiday in Static caravan for
the weekend. 10 weeks old… Now we are back to the boat the weather is hot 30+, the boat
is filthy from the grim of the city cannot wait to get out of the marina. This is the bridge which the marina is underneath,
cars and trains constantly. We did a day of sightseeing going on the vintage tram No 28
which takes you on a spin all for 1.40 Euros each, Lisbon is very rundown in
parts and very steep. Had lunch in a typical back street café in the
Alfama region, then hopped on the 15 tram back to the marina Doca Alcantara. Wouldn’t like to drive in
Lisbon, so steep and narrow and you can meet Trams at every corner Wine tasting in Lisbon trying to
David to taste different wines other than Cab Sav Got the lines ready for off, filled up with water and
motored out into the estuary up towards Cascais to fuel up and go on anchor
lovely place then setting off down the coast to Sines Friday and Lagos for
Monday. Love to all Suzanne & David xxxxx |
