There are a lot of places with similar names and today we went to Palm
Beach, (which is on the barrier island) , i.e. Not West (which is on the
mainland) or North (which is on another barrier island) and hung out for a while
at The Breakers Hotel, where all the old birds have tits and lips that point
north and everything else has long since gone. Actually it’s all a bit old
fashioned and rather crusty so we did lunch in downtown Palm Beach on Royal
Poinciana Way and ate alfresco with all the luvvies.
Oh and I got some more hats and shirts, and my bow thruster spare from The
UPS Store, haven’t dared open the box yet in case it’s wrong. Suzanne got a top
and some new plates and glasses – so another nice day – very warm about 28 and
the water is 24 – this Gulf Stream is great unless you have to sail against
it.
I have the latest Navionics Charts on Raymarine and have now also just
ordered the new C-Map Charts for MaxSea on my PC of the Bahamas which now
include all the Explorer Chart Data (and these are the MUST HAVE ones) so
hopefully no bottom bumping – Oh and I also got a hand held depth gauge
