Happy Christmas from Brazil
Happy Christmas from a very hot and sweaty Brazil We had a double Christmas, as the French celebrate Christmas
eve and we celebrate the 25th, so the partying went on a long time. We anchored on the morning of the 23rd on Island
Francis, beautiful private beach, where the locals welcomed us with open arms. We then motored on the morning of the 24th up the
river another 10 miles over the land…. As charts are so far out the
crosses are our track and waypoints The anchorage was beautiful, outside the Church of Santiago
da Iguape , our Christmas eve dinner was booked in the village at a Pousada
run by Jean Pierre Barra (a French Tax exile) 5 courses, we had a wonderful
night with the French singing French Christmas Carols matching our English Christmas
Carols. Christmas morning was spent on African Seawing, all took a
course, I did smoked salmon & cream cheese canopies. All washed down
with Brazilian Cava. Christmas dinner was on Suzie too. Meal for 9 for us
and Havanita, Jean, Sybil, Priselle, Marim, Gabriel, Guinel. Including
sprouts, cranberry sauce, stuffing, Christmas pudding. Cooking dinner Kids watching their Christmas Present from Suzie too after
dinner. We all had a wonderful day hope you did too Love Suzanne & David xxxx |
