Today we went for a ride 6 miles along the coast to
visit the old Fort San Lorenzo at the entrance of the Chagres river. Going up
the river, you end up at one of the multiple dams that surround the man made
lake of Gatun, which is the primary source of water for the canal locks. Riding
under the canopy on a decent road, we were able to spot howling monkeys,
toucans, parrots .
Aujourd’hui nous sommes alles en velo visiter le
vieux Fort San Lorenzo a 9km de la marina . Fort qui defendait la riviere
Chagres. En remontant cette riviere, vous arrivez a un des multiples barrages
qui entourent le lac de Gatun qui est la source principale de l’eau
necessaire au fonctionnement des ecluses.Sous la canopie en roulant sur une
route correcte, nous avons pu voir des singes hurleurs, des toucans et des
perroquets.
 Fort Sherman, next to the marina: yellow tail, yellow beak bird’s nest
dangling in the breeze...
Juste a cote de la marina , des nids d’oiseaux a queue et bec jaune qui se
balancent dans le vent
