We visited two of the 40+ neighborhoods that the
city has, Cerro Alegre et Cerro Conception which have been classed by
UNESCO as world heritage site. Steep streets, narrow footpaths and no less than
15 Ascencores (elevators) thru out this coastal city. Very busy but nice
place.We will be leaving Sunday November 2d for Valdivia then Puerto
Montt.
Parmi les 40 + quartiers que cette ville a, nous en
avons visite 2, Cerro Alegre et Cerro Conception, qui sont classes patrimoine
mondial par l’UNESCO. Rues escarpees, etroites et pas moins de 15 Ascenseurs
(funiculaires) a travers cette ville cotiere, tres active mais charmante.. Nous
quittons dimanche 2 Novembre pour Valdivia puis Puerto Montt.

  Special mention about street (stray) dogs and this through out Chile, They
are all over, sleeping wherever, even in the middle of the board walk.
Nobody seems to care. They are well fed ,not aggressive and leave their
appreciations everywhere...
Mention speciale pour les chiens des rues et cela a travers tout le
Chili. Ils sont partout, dorment ou ils veulent meme au beau milieu d’un
trottoir. Personne ne s’en occupe. Ils sont bien nourris, pas aggressifs et
laissent leurs marques d’appreciation partout.
