32:55.718 S, 071:32.440 W .Three days down the
coast with a nice sail for 6 hours, down wind , 20 gust to 26, wing to
wing , at last sailing , 8kn to 10kn surfing . Then we went back to usual
business as the wind shift south and died , back to the engine
We reached Higuerilla , which is north of
Valparaiso (10km) Chile main port and the sea extension of Santiago the capital,
one hour away east. Very welcoming yacht club: first 7 days are free and after
$50 per day, not too bad.We had the visit of the agricultural service (!)
because they have not received infos from other northern ports that
we had finished all products from abroad ( Peru)..... after 5 months.
Bureaucracy... We are now clear to sail south
 Trois jours a descendre le long de la cote dont une
navigation sympa a la voile pendant 6 heures, vent arriere, 20 noeuds rafales a
26, 8 a 10 noeuds surfing. Puis le vent tournant Sud et s’essoufflant, on
continue au moteur. Nous sommes a Higuerilla, qui est au Nord de Valparaiso
(10km), le principal port du Chili et l’extension maritime de Santiago, la
capitale du Chili, a une heure a l’Est. Le Yacht Club est tres accueillant : les
premiers 7 jours sont gratuits et apres $50 par jour. Nous avons eu la visite
d’un officier du service de l’agriculture (!) car ils n’avaient pas recus
d’infos des precedents ports qui auraient du reporter que l’on avait consomme
tous nos produits frais venant de l’etranger (Perou)....apres 5 mois.
Bureaucratie....Maintenant nous sommes clair pour poursuivre la route Sud.
