We are still battling with insurance issues and as
always, it will be manana por la manana ( tomorrow morning)....Panamarina
has been below all standards and their incompetence should be a warning for
future cruisers that would decide to use their “facilities”
I reinstalled the rudder, weighted by 12 kilos of
diving belt to provide the minimum of buoyancy and within 2 hours, all systems
were hooked up. On Monday 25, we left the “marina” and motor sailed to Shelter
bay (31 miles) in the canal zone. We were worried about the rudder tube and
rudder shaft, but in 20 knt of wind and 10’ swell, all went well. We were
escorted by a Canadian boat just in case...
Nous sommes toujours en bataille avec les
assurances.
