After the storms of the night before last the seas were very confused for a few hours which made the ride uncomfortable until the wind filled in again and made sailing much more stable. Then it turned into one of those perfect days with the occasional whale siting and plenty of other marine life to watch. A couple of hours sleep helped restore my batteries. Thankfully we are only two hours out of Bundaberg as supplies on the boat are all gone. There is enough milk for a cup of coffee but otherwise the cupboards are now bare. Perfectly managed and I'm sure breakfast ashore will taste great.
The plan is to have the boat taken out here and have the bottom repainted while I take care of some other more mundane things. In a few weeks another sail to somewhere further south such as Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The next sail will definitely have crew. I'm feeling quite exhausted and it would be great to have company as well as help. A call for volunteers? Imagine the old days when press gangs used to roam the streets grabbing anyone not gainfully employed.
