one thousand miles

Yesterday we celabrated the one thousand mile mark, just another 1700 left
We sailed south to catch the trade winds which blow east to west at this time of year
they usually occur below the latitude of 20 degreesso boats wait in the Canary Islands for these winds to begin
then head soth towards the Verde Islands and when the butter starts to melt turn to the west, thats the theory of it
There are more northerly routes but they say the trade winds are more unpredictable and you may be becalmed.
Thats why we sailed south to begin with.
Where still rocking and rolling a very swelly sea, I may have to have lessons on walking when we get to land
