We left the Island
of Embriez with again light easterly winds on the nose. We were really surprised
to find a large swell out at sea, that really wasn't very comfortable - Clearly
the winds forecast for tomorrow have started in the Golfe de Lion sending this
swell in.
Again we had to
motor the 19 miles to Toulon. We arrived with a berth next to our
Lymington Friend Bob in his boat Roanda. A few beers and glasses of wine have
been sunk.

The winds forecasted
arrived blowing all day with gusts frequently exceeding 40 knots in the
marina/harbour - Imagine what it might have been at sea. At least the wind has
kept the sky crystal blue clear and hot.

Kathryn arrived in
Hyere/Toulon airport at 3.00pm. We caught a bus to and from the airport -
frustratingly we found that Hyeres airport was only walking distance from the
airport. With calm weather we could have easily sailed around to pick her
up
30th
August
Again frustratingly
the wind (Mistral) recommenced to day so we continue to be stuck in Toulon.
Kathryn was happy though as she was able to get some retail therapy done and
with plenty of sun, sunbath on the foredeck
