                We moved on again to
day, hoping that we wouldn't hit the strong winds still forecast in the South of
Corsica, albeit they were forecast to die later in the day. We needed to get to
Ajaccio today as Bob has a ferry booked back to Nice in France (where he gets
his plane back to the UK).
Again we had light
winds but they did slowly pick up to 15 knots, so we got some sailing/motor
sailing in.
Another 25 miles and
we arrived. An English boat here said that they had had 40 knot winds the
previous night - amazing that 20 miles further north we had had
nothing.
We are in the old
Port, which is really nice as the old town is quite attractive. Being the
birth place of Napoleon we quickly did some sight seeing visiting his old house.
(Albeit he left Corsica when he was nine and only return for a short period once
thereafter.
At 9.00pm we waived
Bob off, so back to the two of us. We are staying another day here to catch up
with the domestic things - we are running out of food and we need to do some
washing.
