After a leisurely start we set sail to find a nice
Cala to anchor in for the afternoon. We actually sailed for an hour or two as
winds were basically non existant for much of the day.
Around mid-day we heard a radio conversation from
Blue China and faintly Lolipop (Boats from rally Portugual last year). We had a
good chat on VHF with Tony from Blue China and hopefully will get to meet
up next week.
We didn't go very far - 12 miles - into a Cala
Portal, in the Palma Bay. Lovely clear water, 25 degrees, so swimming good and a
lovely bar on the beach. I am writing the blog here having just had a great meal
of mussels and lots of wine that Alison bought (and cooked) in with our
friend Bob. Downside were the jellyfish - upside was the nudist beach (for
Richard and Bob).
