We got ourselves on a floating pontoon run by the
port authorities (which has electricity & water ). Not too expensive
and actually gives one lovely views of the town and harbour - Alison reckoned it
was quite romantic last night. It is also an easy run in to the town quay
by tender.
We tried the town quay first and apart from being
noisy it was twice the price.
There are town mooring buoys which are even cheaper
but clearly don't have the services.
We have potterred around today and arranged for the
engine oil to be changed first thing tomorrow before we set of for some
anchorages/swimming.
Alison has been changing and washing sheets and
cleaning generally without the aid of a laudrette - not quite bashing the sheets
against stones and rinsing in the river water but not far off! We did get
in a quick trip to the gin factory; plenty to sample and made a nice aperitif
before lunch.
We will go into town tonight and visit the street
market etc.
