Altea turned out to be one of the better Spanish resorts we have seen - no high rises, not full of building works, not crowded - and a pretty church and old quarter on the hillside.

The club nautica de Altea had a nice swimming pool which made for a relaxing and refreshing afternoon.

The plan is to move on a little tomorrow past the rock of Calpe and towards Denia and Valancia.
