Having set off from San Antonio in light airs but a
largley overcast sky we plooded along the coat visiting some lovely little Calas
were we might anchor off in the days that come.
Our destination was the Isle Esplamador a small
island between Ibiza and Formentera. We arrived to find a lovely bay with afew
boats tied up to the mooring buoys laid by the authorities. The water is
beautifully clear and warming up by the day
Here we stayed overnight, awakening to a much
sunnier day today.
So it was out with the tender onto the beech for a
walk on the beech and around the nature reserve. Inland the ground was
teeming with green lizards apparently fairly unique to the
area.
Don' ask why but the tender broke loose this
afternoon (this time it wasn't my note at fault) a clip came open. Anyway the
only solution was to dive in after it - to my surprise the water was not that
cold - in fact it was 19 degrees at anchor. We have noticed that the water
temperature has been climbing by the day. SO THE FIRST SWIM OF THE
YEAR.
We will spend a second night here and then have a
look at Isla Formentera possibly going into the small marina
their tomorrow night.
