Weather seems to have gone wrong! All set to leave this morning but having to delay until tomorrow owing to a complete lack of sleep last night and waiting for the remains of last nights storm to blow itself out. What a night, we went to bed early expecting a bit of a blow later and sure enough, 0200 I was awakened by a mighty gust, the wind just kept gusting up to 50 knots all night from every point of the compass. We eventually dragged our anchor and so with me on the anchor windlass and Carol on the helm, we went to re anchor, we pulled up the mooring line of a small ferry, the line was caught on the anchor and took some time to release, but eventually we managed to free ourslves and re anchored. The wind increased, I don't know how strong it was at the peak of the storm but P3 was lying right over and there was smoke off the water, the thunder and lightening were coming simultaneously, great flashes and claps at the same time, right overhead, a frightening time, and somehow our flag and flagpole have disappeared. Now at midday, it has reduced to the occasional 20 mile an hour gust and all is well, delaying departure  until tomorrow, to allow for the weather to settle and for us to get some sleep!
