Greetings from the strangely named island of Vis!
Arrived here yesterday afer a pleasant 20 mile journey with light winds, so we
motor sailed and arrived with full water tanks and batteries. Saw two small pods
of dolphins on the way and anchored in the large sheltered bay housing the two
main villages on the island Vis and Kut, had a walk around after supper and back
to P3 for Scrabble and bed. Big wind started just as we were nodding off and
continued all night, up to gale force so I got only about 3 hours of sleep, we
held firm and all was well but it is hard to sleep during a gale, this morning
at first light 0500, there were lots of new arrivals as boats from other little
bays around the island had rushed here for shelter. All well though, it is now
1000 and still blowing hard but the sun is out, the wind is keeping the
temperature down a little which is pleasant and we are off for some shopping and
exploring.
