We finally left the fresh waters of Skradin
yesterday after lunch, the crooner in the bar across the water the night before
helped our decision, a wannabe Tom Jones, crowed on into the early hours.
Pottered down this great river and bought a kilo of mussels from the mussel farm
on the way, anchored next to an old castle for the night which we explored,
really strange, derelict and open and a fabulous building, in the uk the health
and safety would have gone mad, rotting drawbridge, crumbling walls and
battlements and a few yachties exploring, lovely! Good supper of mussels and
curry! This morning, realised we had swung into some shallow water so had a
great sail out into the islands again and made a good Westerly course to an
anchorage off the uninhabited island of Kakan, nothing ashore but a little
bar/cafe, might explore it this evening, meanwhile, happy swimming, snorkelling,
reading and carving a little bird, new hobby, very hard.
