Another lovely warm day, left anchorage and sailed
to Bol, on the island of Brac, to research a sand spit we had been told about
and we thought might be a nice spot to go with grandson Rufus, who at 5 needs
sand!! No luck, very nice but about as much sand as Chesil Beach! all pebbles,
anchored there for lunch and the West wind blew up to a 5 meaning a horrid motor
into wind and waves for a couple of hours, gained great shelter in a place
called Lucice, lovely inlet with mooring buoys and plenty of them, anchor winch
playing up so I said to Carol that I didn't mind what they charged, lets just
tie up to a buoy, well, we did and its great but they did charge us, £25 for the
night, however he agreed to bring us a loaf of fresh bread in the morning
included in the price!, nice snorkel, actually saw quite a lot of fish here. Off
tomorrow to Split to arrange for the anchor winch to be repaired, possibly suss
out anchorages for picking guestst up from the airport as well. Its all good,
and boy is the wine cheap!! Bit rough but who cares at £2 a litre!
