The wind seems to have settled to a North East force 5 to 6. We are
making a course of about 110 degrees against a desired course of 90 Degrees.
Hopefully the wind will back to a Northerly in a hundred miles or so, if not, we
will end up South of our destination by 50 to 100 miles which will add to our
journey time. Weather is cloud and showers with sunny periods. Everyone is fine
and making the best of the uncomfortable, lumpy sea. We have trailed two lines
for two days now, yesterday we had a fish on briefly but he let go before we
could reel him in. We are only making 5 knots in these seas but are ever hopeful for an improvement
in the sailing conditions. Today is 16th of July and we are hoping to
arrive in Portimao on Sunday. Chris
