Nice anchorage last night with fresh bread as
promised at 0800 this morning, had a walk and met the guy who owns the moorings
on the other side of the bay, £6 a night cheaper and a lovely shady restaurant
and he brings bread and papers!! He's the one for us next time, a definite stop
in August. We motored the 15 miles to this anchorage, another island, another
bay! Very nice except I made a cock up and we anchored is fairly deep water with
the idea if taking a line ashore, I am no good at this maneuvre, we tied all our
ropes together and of I set in the dinghy, managed to get ashore but the rope
was 20 feet too short to reach the tree, so we abandoned the idea and just swung
about in deep water, all seems ok and we are staying the night here, did some
snorkelling and swimming and lounging about, off to Split tomorrow to try and
get this anchor winch arrangement fixed, its really not good at the moment, it
can only be a matter of time before I take my finger off!! Only 4 days to go,
patient reader, and we will be coming home and you won't have to read my painful
ramblings for 3 weeks or so.
